Looking back at 2008, the rain was pretty much the norm weather wise especially June and July, this created high water condition which made fishing quite difficult. With record rain fall and record snowfall in 2007 / 2008 in the last 10 year we have never seen the
June produced some good lake trout on a regular basis in the 8 to 20 pound class, with such high water conditions large streamers and clousers were the most productive in making the big ones to take. Pike were also on the prowl for food and took flies quite easily when the lakers were not present has soon as the lakers showed themselves no pike would take the fly. We would of guess differently but when seeing large lakers chasing pike we soon realized who the boss was.
