Marlens Reservoir & Sight Nymph Fishing

Here is the short video in question that I promised all of you yesterday, This short video depicts a few fish caught on small nymphs, a general vue of the reservoir, but the main object of this video is the  Catch & Release technique and the good feeling of knowing this fish swim away free while giving us so mush fun in this great sport that is fly fishing,  Release your dreams !

Fly fishing Marlens Reservoir France

Fly fishing Marlens reservoir

Today Julien went fly fishing with his friend Lionel on the Marlens reservoir (france) They headed out at around 8 am, with a short 30 minute ride they were prospecting with small nymphs in record time.

Their setup is quite simple with a leader of one and a half time (1 1/2)tolal  rods lenght with a 3 foot tippet. They used generaly small nymph but the most productive pattern was a small #12 chironomid.

Pêche à la mouche sur le réservoir de Marlens

Bonjour à tous, aujourd'hui Julien avais rendez-vous avec son ami Lionel pour une pêche en réservoir. Départ à 8h am et au bout de 30 minutes de route ils commençent à prospecter en nymphe.  Montage très simple avec un bas de ligne de 1 fois et demi la longueur de la canne, avec en pointe 80 cm de 15 centième. L'artificielle utilisé était, pour la majorité des prises, un chironome sur hameçon courbé #12.
